I just got a translation through the free translation area here, and while it was wonderfully done, the phrase I was trying to have translated for my friend, he wants as a tattoo and it needs to be shorter.

What I was trying to get translated was "For your love, I will give everything I am"

The person who helped out translated it wonderfully to "C'est pour ton amour que je m'y rendrai, entirement, de moi meme..."

My friend is somehow adamant on having it like this: "Pour ton amour donnerie tout mon erte"
which I believe doesn't even make sense with French grammar. Could anyone help out with this?

The first translation you got is quite poetic, but inacurate. The second one from your friend is total gibberish. The literal translation is actually the correct one and is much shorter: "Pour ton amour, je donnerai tout ce que je suis". Good luck with the tattoo!

You could make it even shorter if you wish by using "Pour ton amour, je donnerai tout".

Meaning "For your love, I will give everything".

Dealing with the english sentence i guess that we have to understand the english meaning of the sentence itself so for me i suggest the following translation into french.

"For your love ,i will give everything i am"

"Pour ton amour,je te donne ma vie"so here it has really a deep meaning that anyone can feel what the speaker want to say.because as we know a translator must translate not only words or sentences but also feelings to some extend.
